Moises "Mon" Rivas Aguilar, 87, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on February 23, 2024. Born on August 26, 1936, in Kingsville, Texas, to the late Adolario and Narcisa Aguilar, Mon's life was marked by his unwavering faith, his dedication & love to family, and a profound commitment to his community. He never met a stranger and will be remembered as a jokester and for his infectious sense of humor.
Mon, a retired natural gas tech with Entex, devoted his time and skills to various organizations, such as being a 4th-degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #2623 and an active member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. His generous spirit shone through as he tirelessly cooked for fundraisers, embodying the values of kindness and service.
Raised on the iconic King Ranch, Mon's passion for sports was evident from his youth, having played for their esteemed baseball teams. He found joy in fishing, golf, and softball, reflecting his vibrant personality and zest for life. A devoted fan of the Washington Redskins, he shared his enthusiasm for sports with family and friends.
Mon's legacy is not only one of professional accomplishments and community service but also as a dedicated family man. He was a loving husband of 38 years to his beloved wife, Consuelo Aguilar, and a cherished stepfather to Manuel (Olinda) Salazar, Norma (Emiliano) Alaniz, Velma (Robert) Moreno, and father to Moises (Michelle) Aguilar Jr., and Debbie (Tito) Munoz. His twelve grandchildren, Manuel III, Emiliano III, Ricky, Adrian, Robert Jr., Melinda, Andres, Eric, Loren, Ashle, Taryn, and Dustin, and fifteen great-grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to his life, creating a legacy of love that will endure through generations.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jose "Coche" Aguilar, and two sisters, Estella, and Josefa; and his cherished chihuahua, Bella. Mon is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. A Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mon's life at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. Following the Mass, Mon will be laid to rest at Chamberlain Cemetery.
The Aguilar family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation for the exceptional care and support provided to their beloved "Grandpa."
Mon's life was a testament to the values of family, love, generosity, and community, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him and had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Moe was an awesome friend, He was the one who trained me when i started with Entex, 1981, in Kingsville , He was always full of laughter, and friends were always around him, I wasn't able to attend his services, but I will keep him in my prayers as well as the family AT EVERY MASS I ATTEND. . As i type this message I see him smiling and hear his contiguous laugh . We will see each other again,
Moe , Rest in Peace. Jose Angel Garcia, Jr. Beeville Texas 78102, Center Point Energy Gas Service Tech III.
