Moletha C. "Letha" Verge, age 73, died Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Citadel Healthcare Skokie Meadows in Skokie, IL.
Beloved daughter of the late Alma Verge, she was born October 17, 1950, in Memphis, TN.
On October 17, 1950, in Memphis, TN, the late Alma Verge Toney was blessed with her first born child, Moletha (Letha) Verge.
Moletha Verge was preceded in death by her grandmother, Savannah Verge, step- father, Mildred Toney, mother, Alma Toney, two sisters, Tonia and Angie Toney.
Moletha worked as an accountant at the Sears Tower, in downtown Chicago in the late 60's. Moletha decided in the early 70's to joined the US Air Force, where she received an Honorable Discharge.
Moletha is survived by her two sisters, Belinda Scott of Decatur, GA, and Gwendolyn (Peaches) Cloyd of Bellwood, Illinois; three brothers. Orlando (Ladean) Verge (Anita), of Fort Worth, Texas, Clifton Cloyd of Las Vegas, Nevada and Micheal Toney (Margo) of Decatur GA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral Services with Military Honors, Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 1 to 2 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Private Inurnment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
