Molly Elliott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory on Dec. 5, 2025.
Molly Johnson Elliott, 65, wife of Sam D. Elliott, of Beaufort, SC, died on Monday, November 10, 2025, at her residence.

Molly was born on June 24, 1960, in Jackson, TN. She was the daughter of Margaret Jo Coleman Mueller and Alfred Jerome Mueller.

Molly's Celebration of Life will take place on December 12, 2025, from 3:30-5pm in Grapevine, Texas, at the Bessie Mitchell House of the Grapevine Botanical Gardens, located in Grapevine Heritage Park at 411 Ball St., Grapevine, TX 76051. Casual attire please.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Sam, are two daughters, Madeleine and Shay; two brothers, Billy and Charlie; and one sister, Meg, and dearest friend of over 50 years, sister in law, Katherine Martin Mueller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chad Johnson; and one brother, Danny.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to your favorite charity or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help children in need.

At age 65, and after a long battle in and out of hospitals, Molly was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. Complications from the disease ultimately weakened her and led to her passing into the loving care of our Lord Jesus in Heaven.

Molly's work life was spent in a handful of different industries, each reflecting her joyful personality and her love of helping people, getting to know them, and caring about their lives. From working as a display merchandiser in shops throughout the Miami Airport, to serving as a flight attendant and traveling to more than 120 countries, to living internationally in the Cayman Islands, and later helping others discover new foods and beverages in retail product introductions, as she thrived on connecting with people everywhere she went. Beyond her childhood in Jackson, TN, the majority of her life was spent in Grapevine, TX, before moving to Charleston, SC, for four and a half years, and finally, in June 2025, to beautiful Beaufort, SC, to enjoy retirement with her husband Sam.

Her most dedicated and heartfelt passion in life was raising her three children-Chad, Shay, and Maddie-and lovingly welcoming daughter Taylor through her marriage to Sam. Always expanding her artistic talents, grounded in her degree from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Molly poured creativity and care into everything she touched.

Molly was a wonderful, warm, and caring woman, and it was simply in her nature to leave an impression on others. Strangers who met her often remarked, "Molly is a special lady," and would tell Sam, "You're lucky to have her as your wife." To know Molly was to be touched by her warmth and her unwavering love for the people around her.
