Molly Blanche Sorey

Molly "Blanche" Sorey, 91, of Forest passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born November 12, 1932 in Scott County, MS. A public visitation will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest on Sunday, December 17 from 12-2pm with funeral service to follow in the chapel. Bro. James McMillan and Bro. Thomas Laird will officiate. Internment will take place in Goodhope Cemetery following the service.

Blanche was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. She worked several jobs over her life but was best known to be the smiling face you saw when you went in to the Sorey Tire Co office. She doted on her children and was a wonderful caregiver, and she couldn't have been happier when her grandchildren and great grandchildren entered her life. She loved to sing and enjoyed relaxing with her favorite music. She was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church and a faithful Christian woman.

Mrs. Sorey was preceded in death by her parents, Ephriam McMillan and Lydia P. Williamson; her husband, Claude Earl Sorey; and nine brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind two sons, Mike (Lisa) Sorey, and Tim (Connie) Sorey; one sister, Maude Ware; three grandchildren: Cody Sorey, Tyler Sorey and Ryan Sorey; four great-grandchildren: Andrew Posey, Emma Posey, Macie Sorey, and Marley Sorey; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers are: Cody Sorey, Ryan Sorey, Brad Ware, Tyler Sorey, Greg Ware, and Michael Shackleford
