Martha "Molly" J. Van Marter, 64, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025 surrounded by family. Molly brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone around her. She was known for her deep compassion toward animals and her remarkable ability to connect with them.
Molly's passion for cooking was a source of joy not only to her, but to those lucky enough to gather at her table. Whether she was preparing a favorite family dish or trying something new, her meals were always made with love.
Throughout her life, Molly faced numerous health challenges, but she met them all with resilience and an unwaveringly positive spirit. Her ever-present smile and love for life were an inspiration to many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Neal Van Marter and Martha Van Marter, brother David Van Marter, as well as her sister, Rebecca Van Marter
Molly is survived by her loving siblings: Linda J. Van Marter, Melissa V. Hoggatt (Mark), and Neal D. Van Marter, Jr. She also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews: Neal D. Van Marter III (Heath), Christine Emerson (Michael), Erica Raasch (Christian), Laura Van Marter Newby (Bryant), and Katherine Van Marter.
A private family service will be held in her honor. Molly will be laid to rest among family members at Forestlawn Gardens in Anniston, Alabama.
Molly's joyful spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
