Mona “Mo” Callahan, age 73, was called home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, after a yearlong battle with ‘that nasty C-word.’ She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby W. Chapman, and brother, Rodger D. Chapman, both of Ashtabula, OH. She will be sadly missed by her mother, Margaret L. Chapman, Ashtabula, OH; children, Heather Lloyd and Mike Ogle; Stacey and Brian Meidinger; Annie Carlson; and Trevor and Crystal Callahan. Mona will also be missed by her grandchildren: Domingo and Sunni, Dereck and Clancy, Marianna and Wyatt, Tyler and Jasmine, Julia and Clay, Mekiah, Benzley, Tachaius, Zerayah, and Hennisen, her six great grandchildren: Jadyn, Mason, Asher D., Andre, Jasper, and Asher O. (and three on the way as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Although she loved gardening, reading, and fishing, she enjoyed spending time with her family the most. She thrived from helping others and spent many years guiding and mentoring youth for Charles Hall Youth Services. She was a devoted women with so many titles…daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mentor, and most of all, friend.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck. There will be a small Celebration of Life at the Del Valle home following the services.
