Mona Genevieve Keelean

Mona Genevieve Keelean, a long time resident of St. Johns, died on March 22, 2023 at the age of 87. She was born in Midland, Michigan on April 21, 1935 the daughter of Clare and Carrie (Swinsen) Holcomb and was a graduate of Waterford High School.
On May 21, 1955 she married Frank Keelean in Clarkston, Michigan, and together they enjoyed many years in St. Johns where they owned and operated Keelean Buick-Pontiac-GMC and were an active part of the community. She enjoyed her cabin in Grayling, doted on her grandchildren, and throughout her life loved opportunities to spend time on the local golf courses and play cards with her friends and family. She was always fun-loving, and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Craig Keelean. She is survived by her daughters, Frankie (Gale) Davis, Karen (Todd) Gates, and Julie (Chris) Morey; grandchildren, Lindsay (Keith) VanStrate, Craig (Nicole) Davis, Corey (Alicia) Gates, Taylor (Samantha) Gates, Kaylee (John) Wiseman, Macee Morey, Aubree (Bryce) Grassmid, seven great grandchildren, and many loving extended family members and dear friends.
