Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home, with her family at her side. Age 83 years.
The daughter of the late Roy and Geraldine Adams, Mona was born on March 11, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from high school, with the class of 1960. She married John OConnor on October 15, 1960, in Linden, Michigan. They shared 65 wonderful years together. He survives her.
Mona attended Hopevale Church. She was an avid crafter, skilled in beading, painting, and sewing. Mona found joy in various pursuits, including playing the piano, bowling, traveling to new destinations, snowmobiling, bicycling, and tending to her garden. Above all, Mona cherished the time spent with her family.
Surviving besides her husband, John OConnor; are their son, Scott (Sheila) OConnor; daughter, Sherry (Tony) Rogers; grandchildren, Angela (Gary) Kotalik, Erik Rogers; great-granddaughter, Olivia Kotalik; sisters, Kelly (Lou) Albosta, Jill (Steve) Keck. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Honoring Mona’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Sam Burke will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
