Mond Davis, age 68, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, in The Chapel at Griffin-Hillcrest with Pastor Steve Wall officiating. Interment to follow in Durwood Cemetery.
Mond was born on August 26, 1957, to Edmond Davis, Sr., and Lula (Lewis) Davis in Talihina, Okla.
He attended Dickson Schools. Mond worked for Coca-Cola before joining Pepsi-Cola in 1976, starting working on the bottling floor and advancing to Salesman. He retired on May 24, 2020, after 43 years. Mond began his relationship in 1976 with Kathy Royal and they married on November 2, 1990, in Ardmore, Okla. Always a devoted Christian, Mond held his membership at Durwood Missionary Baptist Church for 30 plus years.
After his retirement, Mond then dedicated his life to his Lord becoming an ordained minister on September 25, 2021. He held the pulpit at Concord Missionary Baptist Church and now holding his membership at Ardmore Indian Baptist Church. Mond was known to keep his hands busy piddling in his work shed. He was devoted to all his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Daniel Wayne Davis, Thomas Davis, Ricky Davis, and Randall Davis; sister, Mamie Ashby; grandchildren, Samantha Davis, and Collyn Davis.
Mond is survived by his wife, Kathy Lynn Davis; sons, Mark Davis and wife Melissa, Dustin Ray Davis, Brian Paul Davis and wife Ashley; and eleven grandchildren; brothers, J.D. Davis, and Claude Davis, all of Ardmore, and Glenn Davis and wife, Lois of Durant; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family.
Pallbearers will be sons, Mark Davis, and Brian Davis; grandsons, Jacob Davis, and Bryston Davis; nephews, Vernon Davis, Clayton Davis, Derek Davis, Spencer Davis, and Randal Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be his coworkers, the employees past and present of Pepsi-Cola Company.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., March 13, 2026, at Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
