Monica Delia Obituary
Monica (Plaskiewicz) Delia, age 103, passed away peacefully at Valerie Manor on November 10, 2025, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was the widow of the late August Delia. Monica was born on March 27, 1922, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Alexander and Rose (Barcelewicz) Plaskiewicz. She graduated Technical High School in Scranton, PA and last worked at the Torrington Co., retiring in 1978.
Monica is survived by her son, David, and his wife, Marilyn (Alduini) Plaskiewicz. She was predeceased by two brothers, Clement and Edward Plaskiewicz.
Her passing leaves behind cherished memories for her family and friends. Her warmth, as reflected in Monica's signature phrase, "have a rainbow day," is truly touching.
Memorial contributions may be made to KidsPlay Children's Museum, 61 Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790.
Funeral services will be private.
