Monica Garbowski, 68, passed away on November 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 12, 1957, Monica devoted her life to caring for others, offering kindness, compassion, and an open heart to anyone who came through her door. For 51 amazing years, she was married to her beloved husband, Richard Garbowski, with whom she built a life rich in love, laughter, and family.
Monica is survived by her five children - Donna Tuccio, Christina Mullen, Jennifer Kasicki, Heather and husband Brandon Bestwick; and Richard (Richy) Garbowski - each of whom carries forward her strength, warmth, and unconditional love. She was a proud grandmother to Ryan Garbowski, Tarah and husband Gennis Ruiz; Chelsea and husband Daniel Mugno; C.J. Shuman, Keithy and Jordan Miller; Jeanette Mullen; Hailie, Brayden, and Derek Bestwick; Brittany McQuarrie, Jessica Gibney and Kaleb Garbowski. She was also blessed with a great-grandson, Elias Ruiz, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.
Monica is now reunited in heaven with her beloved mother, Elizabeth; her father, James; her daughter, Lisa; her granddaughter Hannah and Monica's siblings Jym, Darlene, Cheryl, and Todd. Knowing she is embraced once again by those she loved brings comfort to the hearts of all who mourn her.
To everyone who knew her, Monica was a safe place - someone whose door was always open, whose arms were always ready to comfort, and whose love extended far beyond blood. She found joy in life's simple beauties: the color purple, butterflies, flowers, and most of all, the family she cherished above everything.
Monica had the biggest heart, and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
