This is a fond memory of Monica from my husband, Phil Rossbach, who was a part time officer on the Townsend PD and knew Monica well. Now my husband has always been a heavy MILK drinker, but this particular memory was of a function at Epic Enterprises in Ayer for the pistol shooting team where the three main characters were PD part timer Joel Thompson, Monica, and Phil. As this memory was relayed to me, the three of them had been there for quite a while at the bar and had been drinking when finally Monica announced it was getting late and she was going home. So Monica got up and began to walk out. Phil followed her, picked her up, and carried her back to the bar announcing that he and Joel were not ready to leave yet so she wasn´t leaving yet either!

I´m not sure how late that was, how much any of them had to drink, or what any of them had to drink. I DO THINK it is pretty obvious that my husband, the full time dairy farming milk drinker had, most likely, run out of the milk he usually brought to these gatherings to share with others and had substituted it with another refreshing beverage. The takeaway from this memory of Phil´s is that the members of the Townsend PD back then were a closely knit group of men and women who cared deeply about their jobs but also cared deeply about each other. God bless, Monica! Keep up the good work in the next room of your adventure!
Fondly,
Philip and Terry Rossbach
