We mourn the loss of Monique Patterson, who passed away on December 24, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. Monique was born on October 14, 1975, to her mother Karen King. Monique was the beloved spouse of Ed Fishburn, whom she married in May of 2023. She was a loving mother to her four children: Alex Patterson, Linnea Sanchez, Mathew Patterson, and Baron Patterson, and 3 step children Jacquelynn Guthrie, Justin Fishburn, Ryan Fishburn.
Monique also leaves behind six grandchildren, Aiden, Reece, Briella, Wesley, Adrian and Isabella. She studied at Rogers High School and graduated in 1993. In her free time, she enjoyed playing mahjong and taking care of her dogs Kenai, Thor, Rafiki and Freya, she also liked completing word searches. Monique will be remembered for her kind heart and infectious laughter and beautiful smile, and the way she would never let life knock her down no matter what she was going through.
Even though she still had a lot of life to live, Monique Patterson's life was sadly cut short due to Necrotizing Pancreatitis. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. And like she would always say “This isn’t goodbye, this is see you later!”
