Monroe Causey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Labby Memorial Funeral Home - Leesville on Sep. 23, 2025.
Today, we celebrate the life of Monroe Patrick Causey-better known as Pat. Pat passed away peacefully at his home on September 19th, 2025. Pat was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana November 13th, 1943 to Brian and Carrie Parker Causey. He was a one-of-a-kind guy who made a huge impact on everyone around him, and I know we all feel that loss deeply. Pat's love for his family was undeniable. He and Judy built an amazing life together for 41 years, always supporting each other through thick and thin. Their marriage was something special, showing us all what true love looks like. Whether it was a fun family trip or just starting up a business, they made the most of every moment together. He is survived by his son, Nolan Parker Causey and wife Racheal along with their 5 children- Kaiya, Carter, Cullan, Cannon, and Kruz of DeRidder, La. Pat also leaves behind his daughter, Dena Causey and granddaughter, Mykal Renee' both of Alexandria, Louisiana. One of Pat's favorite things in the world was spending time with his grandkids. He loved teaching them new things, whether it was helping them shoot a bow and arrow, cheering them on at their games or surprising them with their very own wiener dog. Those moments meant everything to him, and I know his grandkids will carry those memories with them for life. He had a knack for making people laugh. Seriously, his sense of humor was contagious! You could always count on Pat for a quick joke or a clever comeback that would turn an ordinary gathering into something fun. His laughter brought people together and made tough times feel a little lighter. And let's not forget about his garden. Pat put so much love into growing fruits and veggies that would end up on the family dinner table. Who could forget his love for banana pudding and potato salad? Those dishes were more than just food; they were a symbol of love and togetherness. Pat is mourned deeply not only by his son and daughter and his six grandchildren, but his two brothers: Gilbert Causey and Cathy of Slaughter, Louisiana and Ira Gene Causey and Nathaline from Zachary, Louisiana- and a slew of nieces and nephews within this close-knit family. As we remember Pat today, let's focus on the good times we shared and the joy he brought into all our lives. He taught us to cherish family, laugh often, and appreciate the simple things. His spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the traditions we keep alive.
