BUGGS, Ms. Montre "Tracy" - Age 60, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at McLaren - Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Refuge Temple Church of Flint, 4400 W. Carpenter Rd. with Funeral Service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Matthew Jackson, officiating. Interment, Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:30 AM Saturday. Ms. Buggs will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00PM Friday, with family present from 3:00PM-6:00PM.
Ms. Montre "Tracy" Buggs, age 60, of Flint, Michigan, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at McLaren Medical Center.
Montre was born on March 14, 1965, in Flint, Michigan, the beloved daughter of Michael and the late Brenda Holliday. She was a lifelong resident of Flint and a devoted member of Refuge Temple Church. A proud graduate of Flint Northwestern High School, Class of 1983, Montre-affectionately known as "Tracy"-was admired for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family and work.
For over thirty years, Tracy was a valued and dependable member of the T.J. Maxx family. Her commitment, reliability, and uplifting spirit touched everyone she encountered. Beyond her career, Tracy's two heartbeats were her son and daughter. She also shared a special, unbreakable bond with her beloved granddaughter. In addition, she cherished her siblings and extended family deeply. Tracy found joy in shopping, playing cards, cooking and giving of herself unselfishly. She made a lasting impact on all who knew her through her compassion, laughter and generous spirit. Her love, warmth, and light will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Ms. Montre "Tracy" Buggs leaves to celebrate her beautiful memory: the father of her children, Ricky Buggs Sr.; daughter, Tiara Buggs of Flint; son, Ricky Buggs Jr. of Flint; precious granddaughter, Kendle Nicole Buggs of Ohio; loving father, Michael Holliday of California; sisters, Tangie (Gaston) Jacobs and Roslyn Williams, both of Flint, and Donna Hamilton and Michael Hamilton, both of California; brothers, Craig Holliday and Jabaree Holliday, both of Flint; aunts, Jacqueline Luckett, Laraine Holliday and Dalawn Holliday, all of Flint, and Jill (Raymond) Gist of Grand Blanc; uncle, Billy Bankston of Flint; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other loving relatives, and dear friends, including Charmaine McWilliams of Memphis, Tennessee, Tonnia Rushing of Texas, Therese Skinner, Barbara Ann Smith, Valerie Humphries, and Sharee Key all of Flint; special play brother, Darrell Campbell.
Ms. Buggs was preceded in death by her loving mother, Brenda Joyce Holliday; father and mother-in-law, Dentson and Hattie Mae Buggs; sister, Michelle Dunn; aunts, Myrtle "Dunk" Stewart, Celeste "Poo-Poo" Lewis, and Penny Bankston; and uncles, Ronnie Luckett, Carl Holliday, Drew Holliday, Gary and Gregory Holliday.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to McLaren Karmanos Cancer Institute, McLaren Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pastor Matthew Jackson of Refuge Temple Church of Flint, and Pastor Janard Lakes of Spirit of Victory Outreach Ministries for their care, prayers, and support.
