Virginia "Ginny" Buggs

Virginia "Ginny" (Watkins) Buggs was born April 6, 1928 to John Wesley and Leora Davis. She was raised by the late Otis "OC" and Beatrice (Davis) Watkins in Ernest, PA.

Ginny was Church Mother of Beulah Baptist Church, Indiana PA and a long time member and faithful servant. She enjoyed reading poetry and short inspirational reading to the congregation. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet.

She started working at Campus Sportswear in Indiana, PA and later worked at and retired from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in housekeeping where she was known by many of the students as well as her grandchildren as "Granny".

She departed this life on January 31, 2026 at IRMC. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her brothers Percy and Richard Davis, her step-brother Paul Carr, her step-mother Minnie Lee Carr, her daughter Beatrice Buggs, her son Richard Buggs and her grandson Eric Buggs.

She is survived by four children William (Alisia) Buggs of Pittsburgh, PA; Susan (Bill) Heberer, Greg Buggs and Cherie Williams all of Indiana, PA and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as numerous friends.

Friends will be received at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home Thursday, February 5th from 11a, until the time of the service at 1pm.
