Morgan Marie Speas, 31, of Indianapolis, unexpectedly passed from this life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in her home. She was born on June 3, 1993, in Indianapolis, to Shannon Donahue and Bill Speas.
Morgan attended Mooresville Elementary and Middle Schools. She graduated from Eminence High School in 2011. A friendly face and reputable server at Buffalo Wild Wings on County Line and Emerson Road in Indianapolis, Morgan may also be remembered from her previous endeavors at Dairy Queen in Martinsville, Meijer in Camby, High Velocity, and Guitar Center in Brownsburg.
The life of the party and the ultimate ride-or-die, Morgan was fiercely loyal and fun-loving. With a pocket full of sunshine and a quick wit, she was random, blunt, and also unfiltered. She loved with her whole heart and stood unwaveringly for her family and friends. Notorious for sharing ridiculous jokes and silly one-liners, to know Morgan was to love her. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing food for family gatherings. Most content when surrounded with good music and great friends, she loved to attend concerts at Ruoff and join in on the race festivities at Carb Day. Enjoying the beach and traveling to Florida, her favorite color was orange, her favorite flower was orchids and she was a sucker for horror movies. Above all, Morgan shared a very close bond with her mother and entire family, but she was most proud to become a mother herself to Charli Dawn. She was crazy over dogs, especially her sidekick that she named Luke. Though Morgan's light was extinguished too soon, her spunk and spirit will forever go unmatched, and she will live in the memories of all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Tom Donahue; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Jackie Speas; uncle, Lloyd Speas, Jr.; cousins, Daulton Donahue and Damon Martin.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Charli Dawn Speas; mother, Shannon Donahue of Indianapolis; father and step-mother, Bill and Carla Speas of Bloomington; siblings, Nicolas Clayton Speas (wife, Alexa) of Indianapolis, Janette Reneè, Harston (husband, Robert), Katie Jo Anderson; half-siblings, Makayla and Gavin Robertson; maternal grandmother, Donna Donahue of Mooresville; aunts, Colleen Donahue, Heather Burpo, Amber Martin, Kelly Donahue, Shawn Swopes, Debbie Martin and Star Speas; uncles, Jamie Donahue and Carl Speas; nieces and nephews, Abram, Raelyn Lainey, Aaron, and Aubrey. best friend, Keri Kauffman; Charli's father and half-sister, Chris and Sophia Yorn; and her canine companion, Luke.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 4 to 8 pm, on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00am, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
