Morlin Clarence Clark, affectionately known as "Tookie," passed away on November 7, 2025, in Turkey Creek, Louisiana. Born on January 28, 1966, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, he brought joy and kindness to all who knew him.
Tookie's warmth and gentle nature were hallmarks of his personality, making lasting impressions on friends and family alike. He cherished moments spent taking rides and indulging in his passion for fishing and hunting, activities that brought him a great deal of happiness. His love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures in life was evident in the memories he created with those around him.
A lover of roses, rice and gravy, and a devoted fan of Dr. Pepper, Tookie found fulfillment in life's small delights. He was a kind-hearted man who left a lasting legacy through his family, including his beloved wife, Melinda Clark; two daughters, Megan and Ashley Clark; and his four adoring grandchildren, James Mahaffey, Mason Mahaffey, Asher Mahaffey, Gage Johnson. He also leaves behind two sisters, Lynn Mcwhiler and Cammie Deville; father in law, Orby Lee Deville; brother in law, Jason Deville, and sister in law, Candice Deville who will remember him fondly.
Morlin was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margie Clark; brother, Kenneth Clark; and mother in law, Janette Layser Deville.
Morlin Clarence Clark will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will carry forward the cherished memories of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
A Memorial service to honor Morlin’s life will be scheduled at a later time.
