Morris Rogers Casey

Morris Rogers Casey, 93, November 16, 2025. Morris was born March 10, 1932, in Plainview, Texas to William and Eula Casey. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Eunice. He is survived by his wife; Ada of 70 years of marriage, children; Morris, Luther, and Steven, Grandchildren; Devon, niece; Bettie.

Morris grew up in Normangee and graduated from Normangee High School. After high school he entered the army to serve his country in the Korean War where he led a field artillery unit. After returning home, he began working for Pinkerton Security. He met the love of his life, Ada, during this time. They eloped and soon after began their family of three sons. Morris eventually started his own polygraph firm, specializing in pre-employment testing along with criminal investigations. Later he became Director of Security for Oshman's Sporting Goods and Safety Director for Fiesta Supermarkets before retiring.

Morris enjoyed multiple hobbies such as woodworking, carving decoys, and was fascinated with genealogical research. His passion for animals was clear to all who knew him. Throughout his life he took care of countless dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, cows, squirrels, even field mice. If any creature needed help, they seemed to know he was the one who would help them. Above all, he and Ada worked hard to build a wonderful life for their three sons. Whether coaching little league baseball teams, attending gymnastics meets and science fairs, or volunteering for band booster clubs and chaperoning every event, they dedicated their lives to their family.

A service celebrating Morris will be held Thursday December 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Dettling Funeral Home 14094 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77079. Burial will follow at 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038.
