Morris Floyd Obituary
June 25, 1947 - September 20, 2022
Mr. Morris Wayne Floyd, 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on June 25, 1947, to Grady Eugene Floyd and Edith Butner Floyd in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Morris was a good man who loved woodworking and traveling with his family in his camper. He also loved restoring old hit and miss engines. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Morris is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald Floyd. He is survived by his loving wife, Mamie "Punk" Floyd; children Brian (Valarie) Floyd and Nicole "Nikki" Flores; grandchildren Tomas Flores, Isidro Flores Jr., and Hannah Floyd; sisters-in-law Sue McIntosh and Wilda "Peany" Aldridge; sister Janice (Tip) Love; nieces Jodi (Paul) Henson, Caren (Clint) Bullock, and Sharon (Dennis) Scates. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Toborg for his help during this time. A memorial service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Saturday September 24, 2022, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Showalter officiating. Morris was the best paper deliverer you could ever have he and his wife were always on time even in inclement weather we exchanged Christmas cards for years I will miss him. God bless.
