Morris Benny Gumm

Morris Benny Gumm, 79, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of the town of Apple Valley, CA, a former employee of Plato Products, member of The Gideons and Scottsville Church of the Nazarene where he served as Sunday School teacher, Bible Study director and church maintenance. He was the son of the late Hazel Cortez Gumm and Alma Odell Frost Gumm. His beloved wife, Linda, succumbed to injuries received in the automobile accident and passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He is survived by 6 daughters: Sheila Britschgi and husband, Andrew, Washougal, WA; Sherry Devlin and husband, Dale; Sharon Regalado and Shawn Barton, all of Scottsville, KY; Shannon Timoschuk and husband, Vince, Huntington Beach, CA and Sarah McCandless and Nick, White House, TN;
8 grandchildren: Athena Fowler (Brandon), Shelby Mack, Christian Britschgi, Nicole Giarrusso (Gary), Kristin Maldonado (Richard), Zachary Johnson (Shayla), Jaxon McCandless, Latosha Lipinski (Matt);
3 great grandchildren: Ryan, Eli and Amaiyah and an unborn great grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Rue Gumm.
Joint funeral service with his wife, Linda, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Burton officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.
