Marty Kingery, age 77, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Pruitt Hospice. He was born on January 2, 1947 in Savannah moving to Collins many years ago. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Unites States Marines receiving two purple hearts. Marty was the owner and operator of MD Kingery Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and is a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Harmon and Veree Eileen Beasley Kingery and a grandson, Garrett Duran Reiser.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda Kingery of Collins; his children, Deborah Jean (Emory) Reiser of Cleveland, GA and David Duran (Melissa) Kingery of Collins; siblings, Charles (Carroll) Kingery of Collins; Donna Rowell of Daisy, and Carla Johansen of Reidsville; grandchildren, Emory (Charity) Reiser IV, Presten (Kori) Reiser, Quentin Reiser, Marshall Reiser, Catherine Reiser, Logan Reiser, Pearce Reiser, and Oliver Kingery; great grandchildren, Leyton Reiser, Lettie Reiser, Caden Rae Reiser, River Haylen Reiser, Hunter Reiser, and Jasmine Reiser; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from the hours of 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Monday, May 20, 2024 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Michael Plowman officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with honors rendered by the US Marine Corp.
Pallbearers will be David Kingery, Presten Reiser, Quentin Reiser, Marshall Reiser, and Pearce Reiser.
Memorials may be given to Liberty Baptist Church, 536 Victory Drive, Lyons, GA 30436.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Kingery family.
