Robert Failing Obituary
Sun City Center, FL - Robert K. Failing, 78, of Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Sun City Center. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 4:00PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case from California Community Church officiating. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, beginning at 12:00PM at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
Robert was born January 11, 1943 in Rochester, MI to Kenneth and Marion (Denhoff) Failing. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and earned his Master's Degree in Finance. He married Laurie M. Kendrick on September 24, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV.
Bob worked in the Detroit area and northern Michigan for many years. He came to Coldwater in 1990 and worked at Branch Co. Federal and Southern MI Bank and Trust until his retirement in 2001. He has spent the past 20 years in Sun City Center, FL. Bob enjoyed boating and lake activities. Together with his wife, they have enjoyed traveling extensively for the past several years.
Bob is survived by his wife Laurie, his brother Richard (Donna) Failing of Plymouth, his brother-in-law Paul Kendrick of Farmington Hills, his nephews Ron (Maureen) Kaczmarek of Plymouth and Ethan Kendrick of Farmington Hills. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Failing and his brother Ronald Failing.
