Moses "Red" Dotson

Age 78 years. Found peace December 22, 2024 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Born to life January 18, 1946 in Bastrop, Louisiana son of Jasper and Mamie Dotson. Beloved husband and best friend of Sandra (nee Patterson) for 48 years. Further survived by his children Horatio Dotson, Melonie (Rohan) Carnegie-Thambrahalli, William Dotson, Ramone Dotson, Shannon Dotson and Moses (Desiree) Dotson; Grandchildren Nicole, Faybian, Miya, Kennedi, Jayla, Lundon, Jaiden, Christian, Journey, and Jorden; Great Grandchildren DeMarcus, DeVontae and Franky. sisters Christina (Carlos) Helm and Doris Dotson; special sisters in law Dorothy Eason, Lucille Lewis, Mae Harris, Terry Taylor, Debra Patterson, and Carol Tolbert, special brother in law Carey Patterson, special nieces - Takievia Patterson-Williams and Yolanda Eason. and other relatives and many friends.
His family, friends, and community will continue to carry his light forward. His wisdom, his kindness, his love for life will guide us even in his absence. While his body may have departed, his essence, laughter, his spirit and his enduring warmth will live on in our hearts.
Red was preceded in death by his parents Jasper and Mamie, and brothers Haybert Wilson, Boyd Wilson, Sr., Will Wilson, and Cleophus Dotson.
Visitation Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Jelacic Funeral Home 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee from 11:00 AM until Services at 1:00 PM.
Red was a longtime employee at A.O.Smith.
