Moses was born on March 7, 1951, in Louisville, MS to the late Moses William and Doris Higginbotham Vernon. He will be fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father and grandfather and as a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Vernon of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Kristina Dee Bussanmas and her husband, Scott of Des Moine, IA and Natalie Lee Dugan and her husband, James of Athens, TN; a son, William Dempsey Vernon of Oxford, MS; a sister, Evelyn Smith of West Point, MS; seven grandchildren, one great grandson and two nieces..
Memorial contributions in Moses' memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or by visiting www.stjude.org.
