Mr. Carleton James "Jimmy" Coon, passed peacefully July 30, 2025 in Mena, Arkansas.

He was born April 19, 1943 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late William Carleton Coon and the late Bernice Irene Regnier Parker. He was married to Sandra "Sandi" Tupper in Las Vegas, Nevada September 13, 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked for Regal Marine in Florida for many years and then at the Mena Airport until a health crisis forced him to retire. Jimmy was an old soul, a quiet man who loved poetry, cooking, exploring the forest, making crystal jewelry, fishing, wood carving, and above all, music. In 1969, he and some friends traveled across the country to attend the famous Woodstock Music Festival in Bethel, New York and got handed a rose from Janice Joplin at the Monterey Pop Festival. Until the end he spent his free time exploring and listening to all kinds of music and sharing his experiences with his children and family. The most important thing in his life was his soulmate and wife, Sandi, and his children and grandchildren. He was a gentle and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a quick friend to all he met. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved niece, Sarah Johnson Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandi Coon; brother, Tim Weyand; son, Wayne Tupper and wife Kim; daughter, Kelly Crawford and husband Kris; granddaughters, Shelby Crawford and Kalee Tupper; grandson, Zachary Bussard; great-granddaughter, Delphina Tupper and his bonus grandchildren, Kailyn Deramus, Dylan Deramus and wife Katey, and Taylor Wheeler and husband Jonathan; and bonus great-granddaughter, Cordelia Anderson as well as a host of other family too great to mention.

Jimmy was sent for cremation under the direction of Beasley Wood Funeral Home. No services are scheduled at this time.

Jimmy wanted us to always remember, "If it ain't fun, don't do it!"
