Age 59
Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Warren E. Richardson Jr. Mr. Richardson passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Tuscaloosa, AL. He was known as Gene "Dusty" Richardson to those who knew him.
Gene grew up in Tarrant, Alabama. He lived with his grandparents, who were devoted Christians and led Gene to faith. He was visiting Roebuck Park Baptist Church in 1983 where he met his future wife, Lisa. They were married there in 1986. Their 39th wedding anniversary was celebrated on May 3, 2025.
Gene graduated from Tarrant High School in 1984. He was a talented musician and singer. He performed in several concerts during his years there. Gene's rendition of "Christmas in Dixie" was a favorite at Christmas concerts. In his senior year, he performed a solo concert for his classmates at Tarrant. Gene enjoyed music throughout his entire life.
Most of his working years were spent as an over-the-road truck driver, always working hard to provide for his family. His favorite times were spent singing and playing his guitar. To sum up his life, Gene was a Christian who worked hard, loved his family, and music. He will be missed by his family and friends.
