Larry Eugene (Gene) Lambert, age 88, of Pinson, Alabama, died peacefully at his home, Monday, April 28, 2025. Although still living on his own, due to health issues, he had been homebound for several years, with his son, Dean and his wife Janet, being his caregivers. Gene grew up in Brooksville and moved to Pinson as a teenager. He attended the Old Rock School in Pinson, and Tarrant High School, graduating from JB Pennington High School in Blountsville, Alabama. Gene was an Army Veteran who fought in the Korean War and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He then retired from Bell South after 40 years of service. His talents were many, and he was always looking for a better way to do things. Among his talents was his voice, having sung at both his mother and father's funeral services. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, of Pinson, his parents, Rilla Nimon & Floyd Vincent Lambert, his sister Shirley Lambert Ferguson, all of Brooksville, and his son, Randy Lambert. He is survived by his sister, Janice Lambert Epp; his sons, Dean (Janet) Lambert and Larry (Celeste) Lambert; his grandchildren, Christina Kirby & Jacob Lambert; his great grandchildren, Holly Ferguson & Kyle Lambert; and his nieces Vickie Burgin & Kimberly Viars. Graveside service and burial will be in the Lambert Family Cemetery, 181 Sink Hole Road, Blountsville, AL, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2:00pm. Snead Funeral Home is humbled to serve the Lambert Family!
