William Thomas Sanders Jr.

Mr. William Thomas "Bill" Sanders, Jr., age 77, of Langston, Alabama, passed away on January 6, 2026. He was born on November 11, 1948, to Tom and Joy (Moore) Sanders.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah (House) Sanders, and by his parents.

He is survived by his children: daughter, Mandy Kilpatrick (Chad), sons, Matt Sanders (Brittany) and Cody Sanders. He was a proud grandfather to Clay Kilpatrick (Maddie), Davis Kilpatrick, Cooper Sanders, and Camden Sanders, and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of his great-grandchild, Bennett Kilpatrick. Bill is also survived by his sister, Sara Sanders Pyle (Mike); nephew, Taylor Clark (Susie); niece, Ali Clark; and great-nephew, Tyson Clark, and Aunt Barbara Sanders Stephens.

Bill grew up in Pinson, Alabama, where he attended Tarrant High School. Following graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army, proudly serving from 1968 to 1971. After his military service, Bill devoted many years to working at Sanders Hardware, the family business in Pinson.

Later in life, Bill and his wife Deborah made their home at Mountain Lakes Resort on Lake Guntersville. There, Bill enjoyed working, living by the lake, and forming lasting friendships. He was fondly known throughout the resort and will be remembered for the many connections he made and the friendships he cherished.

A funeral service honoring Bill's life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Pinson Methodist Church, 4507 Bud Holmes Road, Pinson, Alabama 35126. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
