Mrs. Bettie Ann Kilgore Mullins, age 87, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Mullins will be held on Saturday, February 8, at 2:00 PM, at the Milner Baptist Church. Dr. Brad Ellington will officiate, and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, February 7, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Mrs. Mullins was born July 30, 1937, in Eatonton, GA, to the late Henry Clarence Kilgore and the late Clara Mae England Kilgore. She was co-owner of Mullins Construction Company where she worked with her husband for many years, and she was a homemaker who took care of all the needs of her children. She enjoyed bowling with various leagues and liked to travel with her husband. Mrs. Mullins was a member of Milner Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband, John David Mullins, Sr.; a son, John David Mullins, Jr.; a sister, Helen Peacock; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Lee Sheffield and Jana Mullins. She is survived by two daughters: Cynthia Lynn Mullins of Thomaston, and Robin (Duane) Powers of Fort Valley; two sons: Eddie Ray (Sherry) Peavy of Thomaston, and Henry (Buffy) Mullins of Milner; eight grandchildren: Nichole, Charles, Amanda, Sarah, Mindy, Mike, Courtney, and Madison; nine great grandchildren: Lilla, Charlie, Hannah, AnnaClaire, Becky, Bailee, Georgia, Michael, and Chris; and her beloved cat, Dora.
