Mrs. Betty Jane McPherson, age 90, passed peacefully away on Friday, June 6, 2025 while recuperating from surgery at the JRMC.
Betty was born on May 30, 1935, to Louis and Lydia (Marzoff) Job, in Jamestown, ND. Betty spent her years growing up in Jamestown, helping her parents with her seven siblings, working various jobs around town, and met Mac McPherson while attending Jamestown High School. They were married on September 13, 1954 in Moorhead, Minnesota. They made their home in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Betty worked hard not only outside the home but in the home where she raised four children, Mike, Mitch, Cyndi, and Mark. Betty and Mac worked extra jobs in order to put their children though church school, academy, and college, which they successfully did and considered one of their most valuable accomplishments. Betty worked many years as a partner alongside Mac in their company Glenmac Inc., where their sons also were employed. Betty and Mac enjoyed extensive travels involved with their business visiting many countries. Betty had a firm belief in Jesus Christ and the promise of our reunion in Heaven at the second coming of Christ.
Betty cherished her family and is survived by her children Mike (Susan), Mitch, Cyndi (Ken), Mark (Cheryl). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Betty is survived by her brother David (Ann) Job and her sister Gayle (Ted) Procko.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Mac McPherson, her parents, one grandchild Angie Riffel, her sister Shirley Job Hall, her brothers, Laverne Job, Louis Job Jr., Gary, Job, and John Job, and her daughter-in-law, Ann (Mitch) McPherson.
Betty was blessed to reside at her home on Hillcrest Drive until her passing. She loved being at home surrounded by her memorabilia of family, friends and travels.
