Mrs. Mary Agnes Carroll Sanderson, age 84, of Thomaston, died Thursday evening, April 17, 2025, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Sanderson will be held Saturday, April 19, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Dr. Ryan Christopher will officiate, and interment will follow in Valley Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Sanderson was born on December 29, 1940, in Thomaston, to the late Lonnie Carroll, Sr. and the late Eva Mae Lloyd Carroll. She was employed in quality control by Lanier Electronics, and she later kept children at her home. Mrs. Sanderson enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling to the mountains. She was a member of Northside Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanderson was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Clarence Bailey and William Russell (Bill) Sanderson; three siblings: Lonnie Carroll, Jr., Madine Pickett, and Johnny Carroll; and a grandson, Jackson Gray Bailey. She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Johnny) Dawson of Thomaston; a son, Don (Chelle) Bailey of Macon; four grandchildren: Nichole (Steve) Blackston, Casey (Adam) Perry, William Chase (Hannah) Bailey, and Madison (Augie) Dellapi; and eight great grandchildren: Kade (Brinley) Perry, Levi (Taylor) Blackston, Ethan Blackston, Kyla Perry, Kinslee Perry, Ella Blackston, Liam Bailey, and Alec Bailey.
