Mrs. Sandra Anderson Suggs, age 80, of Atlanta, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Suggs was born September 12, 1945, in Thomaston, Georgia, daughter of the late Harry Anderson the late Winnie Lee Gilmore Anderson. She was a graduate of Mississippi College with a BS degree. She married the love of her life, Robert McGowan Suggs, III on February 17, 1968. She was a wife and homemaker, and over the course of her career, she was a school teacher, sales associate, and bank teller. Her true passions were knitting, sewing and gardening. Sandy served in numerous positions with local garden clubs, as well as Dekalb Federation of Garden Clubs. She was active in church her whole life, serving on committees, volunteering, and participating in Sunday School, Bible studies, women's groups, and prayer shawl ministries.

To cherish her memory, Mrs. Suggs leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Bob Suggs of Atlanta; her daughters, Laura Suggs Stinnett (Scott) of Louisville KY, Margaret Anne Suggs (Gearoid Coughlan) of Dublin, Ireland, and Stephanie Elizabeth Suggs of Tucker; her sister, Rosie Mayer (Bob); her brother Paul Anderson (Karen); her brother Jim Anderson (Sara); and her grandchildren, Rowan Coughlan, Darragh Coughlan, Sarah Stinnett, and Katie Stinnett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Bob Anderson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Suggs will be held Wednesday, October 15, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Suggs will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

A Memorial service will also be held Saturday, October 18, at 11:00 am, in the sanctuary of Main Street Church in Tucker, GA.
