Jasmine Alicía Adams, “Jali” came into this world on May 7, 1986, wide-eyed and ready to take over the world! She was born to Pastor Aaron Curtis & Lady Sonji Mims Adams. She departed this life in a twinkling of an eye on March 31, 2025.
Jasmine accepted Christ as her savior, was baptized and joined Valley Brook Outreach Baptist Church. As her father began the pastorate at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, she followed him there, where she could be heard giving God praise in song, asking inquiring questions and supporting the ministry wherever she was needed.
Jasmine loved knowledge and sought it through education. She received an associate’s degree from Greenville Technical College and furthered her education at Southern Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree. She completed her education with a master’s degree from Full Sail University.
Jasmine began working at the age of 16 and continued until the day of her transition. She was last employed by BMW Manufacturing working with logistics.
Jasmine will be remembered with love by her parents, Pastor and Lady Adams of Piedmont, SC; her sister, Patrice René Adams of Easley, SC; her brother, Avery Scott Adams (Jermaine) of Greenville, SC; the apples of her eye - her niece, Jade Simone Gallashaw Adams and nephew, JAaron Guy Gallashaw Adams; her grandmother, Lady Mable Adams; her aunts, Dorothy Earle (Johnny), Deborah Walton, Lorraine Adams, Evangelist Gwendolyn Mims and Stephanie Zeuner; her uncles, Silas Mims, Jr. and Fabian Adams; her great aunts and great uncles, along with a host of other close relatives and dear friends.
Jasmine will be remembered by her giving spirit and by her beautiful, mockingbird voice.
Jasmine, we love you and we will truly miss you! We can’t wait until we see you again!
The family is receiving friends at her parent’s home, 128 Fourth Day Street, Piedmont, SC 29673, 4:00pm-9:00pm daily.
