Born on July 5, 1936, in Chula, Georgia, Aubrey lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a passion for helping others. Aubrey retired from a distinguished career in Civil Service as a training specialist. His commitment to service was further underscored by his time in the United States Army, where he proudly served as a Master Sergeant for 23 years. A veteran of both the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict, he received numerous awards throughout his military career, including the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal, among others. He cherished his time engaging in activities such as playing softball for various churches and enjoyed the outdoor pursuits of hunting and fishing. A particular favorite pastime was playing horseshoes, a sport that allowed him to connect with friends and family alike. Aubrey is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marsha Walker. He was a proud father to his sons, Terry Walker of Columbus, Georgia, and Scott Walker of Bolingbroke, Georgia. He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom as a grandfather to Hannah Kondrach (Zach), Emma Purcell (Isaiah), Laura Walker, Brian Walker, and Brendan Walker (Rachel), and as a great-grandfather to his cherished great-grandchild, Micah Kondrach and soon to be added Everly Grace Kondrach. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Wilkison of Cochran, Georgia, and his brother, Larry Walker of Philadelphia, PA. Additional surviving family members include his sisters-in-law Glynis Lane (Myron) and Aurelia "Shorty" Giddens (J.W.), along with brothers-in-law Fairon Stonecypher (Sheriee), Wyron Stonecypher, and Terron Stonecypher (Mary).
