Muhammad Safdar Obituary

SAFDAR, Muhammad

Muhammad Safdar, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away at the age of 81, peacefully, with family, at Fajr time.

Born in Burj Wala, near Sheikhupura, Pakistan, Muhammad Safdar grew up in a close-knit village. Known in his youth as "Sufi" for his love of poetry and quiet reflection, he earned his Pharmacy degree from Punjab University, excelling academically and embarking on a career marked by perseverance, service, and integrity.

In 1970, driven by the promise of opportunity, he immigrated to the United States. Overcoming countless challenges, he worked tirelessly, eventually owning and operating Arrow Drugs Store in Camden, New Jersey, for nearly two decades. His story was one of unwavering faith in Allah's plan.

Funeral services were held in accordance with Islamic tradition, with the Janaza at RCM, and the burial at ECIC Cemetery, with many members of his beloved Hamzah Masjid community present. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Islamic Relief, the Islamic Medical Association of North America, or the Atlanta Community Food Bank. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and make his resting place a place of light. Ameen.
