Mukesh Luhar Obituary
Dr. Mukesh Praladbhai Luhar, passed away at his home in Hanover, Maryland on February 26th, 2026, at the age of 75 with his family by his side.
Born on October 8th, 1950 in Vadodara, India, he was the fourth child and second son of Dr. Praladbhai Luhar and Kantaben Luhar. His formative years were spent with his siblings: Veena, Meena, Yogesh, Usha, and Mayur in their childhood home in Gujarat.
After receiving his MBBS in India, Mukesh immigrated to America in 1975. Here in the United States, Mukesh built a legacy as an award-winning physician with Johns Hopkins Hospital Center, owner of an internal medicine practice, and co-head of an endoscopy center before retiring in 2022.
Dr. Luhar is survived by his wife, Sheela Luhar, his three children (Shameet, Rima, and Ameet), and his eight grandchildren.
Services will be held from 11AM - 1PM on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. (1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, MD). Cremation services will immediately follow.
