Muriel Pelletier Obituary

Muriel Irene Pelletier, a woman deeply devoted to her faith and family, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 26, 2026 at the age of 91.

Born on August, 16, 1934 in Boston, MA she was the beloved daughter of the late Lionel and Beatrice Provencher. She was predeceased by her dear sisters, Lorraine Magee and Lucille Martel. She was a graduate of OLPH High School for Girls and Fisher College in Boston, MA.

Muriel was the cherished wife of Claude Pelletier, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Together, they built a family that was the center of their lives.

She was a loving and devoted mother to Jeffrey (Claire), Michael (Tami), Claudia (Bob), Jacqueline, David (Karen), James (Kris), Camille (Peter), Christine (Mark) and Susan (Matt). Her greatest pride was the friendship and love that her children have with each other. They continue to cherish and relish time spent together. Her legacy also lives on through her 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Muriel had a gift for bringing people together, especially through her love of cooking, which she approached with such joy and generosity. Her kitchen table was always full of her kids' friends and anyone else that showed up with an empty stomach. Consider yourself lucky if you've ever had one of her famous Whoopie Pies! She cherished time spent with her prayer group and found great strength and community in her faith. She especially enjoyed her childhood memories of Northwood Lake, swimming with her dear friend, Sister Jacqueline LeBlanc.

Mémé will be remembered as a kind and loving woman whose warmth touched all who knew her. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, deep faith and unwavering love.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Sharon Lafave for her loving care and compassion, as well as to Amedisys Hospice for their support and kindness.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, will be Tuesday, March 31st from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 1st at 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Hemlock and Wester Streets. Burial will follow in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
