Murlidhar Prasad

It is with a heavy heart that we convey the passing of Murli Prasad on March 7, 2026. He was 87 years old and lived an amazing life. He lived in the house that he loved in Oakland Township and died a peaceful death.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jyoti, in 2019.

He is survived by his sons, Madhu and wife, Rashmi, and Mukesh and wife, Chandni, and his grandchildren, Arjun, Divya, and Arya - the three of whom he cherished most of all. Murli treated so many people he met over the years as his own offspring so in essence he is survived by many.

Like many of his generation, Murli lived the American dream. He moved to the US in 1971 and dedicated his life to providing every opportunity for his wife and children to live their best lives. His kindness and generosity extended beyond is family and all were blessed to have had him in their lives. We would like to thank everyone for their tremendous outpouring of support - it is truly a testament to the number of lives that he touched.
