Myra Guy Obituary

Myra Dean Guy (Deannie), age 79, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025. Preceded in death by her parents Gasque Lee Purvis and Leana May Purvis, her son Clint Guy and Great Granddaughter Raelynn. Born on July 28, 1946, in Mobile Alabama, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.
Myra shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jerome Guy. Together they built a strong and loving family that was the center of Myra's world. She was the proud mother of three sons: Lee, Dean, and the late Clint Guy. Her legacy continues through her cherished granddaughters, Destin Guy and Brianna Kundo (Charles), and her great-grandchildren Ivory and Kyra Traxler. She also held close in memory her great-granddaughter Raelynn.
A long-time member of Satsuma United Methodist Church now Generations Church of Satsuma, Myra was deeply involved in church life and contributed to countless events over the years. Her presence was a constant source of warmth and support within the congregation. Whether organizing gatherings or lending a helping hand behind the scenes, she gave generously of her time and spirit.
Myra had a zest for life that shone through in everything she did. She especially enjoyed celebrating Mardi Gras and could often be found watching her favorite true crime shows. These simple pleasures brought her joy and reflected her vibrant personality. Known for her unwavering kindness and generosity, Myra would help anyone in a heartbeat.
She was always there for those who needed her-offering comfort, guidance, or simply a listening ear.
Her strength as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A celebration of life honoring Myra's life will be held at Satsuma United Methodist Church in Satsuma, Alabama on Saturday, October 11 2025 at 12pm.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
