Myra G. (Richey) Lincoln, age 78 of Clovis, New Mexico Passed away on the morning of 12 November 2025.
She was born 15 August 1947 in Effingham Illinois to Jacob Donald and Mildred Mea (Mattoon) Richey.
In 1975, Myra was hired as a secretary to the Staff Judge Advocate General at Chanute Air Force base in Illinois. She held that job for some time before moving over to the Missile Training Group as a secretary. After a short break she returned to work in the 3345th Finance and Accounting Squadron, until 1990 when she took a leave without pay to be home with her parents while husband was station at Osan AB South Korea. After his return they moved to Bergstrom AFB in Austin Texas where she worked as an accounting Technician in the Accounting section and Secretary for the Comptroller at Bergstrom AFB Texas Then moving to Cannon AFB, she again began working in Accounting and Finance, tiger teams for consolation of accounting sections and then, in the Financial management section of the 27th Civil Engineer Squadron until she took an assignment 18th Fighter Wing at Kadena AB, Okinawa. Where she was the Financial Manager for 18th Civil Engineer Squadron, upon returning to the United States she came back to the 27th Civil Engineer Squadron, as the Assistant Financial Manager. Myra was there until her retirement in 2009.
Myra's greatest pleasures and abilities were in playing the piano and organ. She started playing at age eleven: at age twelve she was the organist and pianist for her church. She played both instruments in many Base Chapels and churches though out her travels.
She is survived by William Lincoln, her husband of 39 years, Jay (Christine) Creek of Champaign, IL, Annissa (Creek) Kief of Beech Grove, IN. Grandchildren, Dustin Kief, Allison (Reiling) Stanley, Evan Reiling, and great grandchild Waylon Kief.
She was preceded in death by her parents and bother Jay Richey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday day, November 20, 2025, from 6 to 7:305 PM at Steed Todd Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1021 North Prince, on Friday, November 21st at 2:30 pm. Burial will at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, IL
