My love to my Tibbitts cousins and their families during this tough time. I also extend love to Bob and Myra’s children. The service was beautiful and such a fitting tribute to her. She was amazing and we will all miss her deeply. God bless all until we meet again.

Myra was my roommate at BYU one year. I loved her. She was a great friend. We had so much fun together. One fun memory I have of her was the fact that she loved wearing red. One day, it was raining and as she was walking to campus, she noticed she had on her red coat, red pants, red boots, red backpack and using her red umbrella. She was horrified when she realized she was all red! She came back to our apartment and changed it up a bit. We got a good laugh over that! She was so nice...

I feel blessed to have known and worked with Myra, she was my working buddy. We shared many conversations about our families, cooking recipes, crafts, she was always there to help anyone with issues. We both started at Pearson at the same time and formed a great friendship throughout our 5 years.
I know the grieving process will lessen daily, but my memories of Myra will always remain in my heart which I am so thankful to have.

Sending my love to Myra’s family (Bob and her children). Myra was our youngest sibling and we are shocked and numb to see her gone too soon. Of course many of our family memories will sustain us as we adjust to her absence and we hope we can remain connected to each of her kids and to her husband Bob.

Myra, I didn't get the chance to know you for very long, or get to know you very well. I was the new Aide in the reading program at the elementary, but from day one you were kind and helpful, and I was so grateful for that. I'll miss seeing you at the next table over, and I'll miss interacting with you between reading groups. Praying for comfort for your family. You will be deeply missed. ❤

Myra Joyce Lurker passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 1, 2026, after a sudden illness.
Myra was born in St. Anthony, ID on May 31,1960. She was the 6th child of Cleve and Betty Tibbitts (Davis).
Myra grew up in the same house in St. Anthony until she moved to Rexburg to attend Ricks College. After graduation she moved to Provo to attend BYU and graduated in Early Childhood Education and found her passion in helping children. Her Aunt introduced her to her husband Bob, and after a short time together, they built a life side by side. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 12, 1986. After marriage, they moved frequently, living in many places across the country. Though moving was never easy for her, she faced each transition with faith. She embraced each opportunity to meet new people and explore new places.
She raised four children, Emily, Evan, Hailey, and Andrew who were the center of her life. Being their mother was her greatest role, and she devoted herself fully to caring for her home and family. She rarely missed a special event, always made time to be present, and cherished traveling together to create memories. Her many trips with her two daughters were a highlight of her life. Disney held a special place in her heart, and she loved making memories there with her family. She was a devoted stay-at-home mother until her youngest child entered high school, after which she returned to work. At the time of her passing, she held three jobs. They included working as a reading aide at an elementary school, a test proctor, and a tutor. She especially loved that she could work with children. She was so excited to become a grandma to Finley and loved spoiling her, and spending time reading her books.
She was creative throughout her life, with talents that included sewing and playing the piano. In the last few years of her life, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by learning to play the violin. Something that had been on her bucket list since childhood. She was a very gifted writer; she expressed her love through the countless hours spent helping her children write papers and edit homework. Quietly playing a role in many well-earned A’s along the way.
She served faithfully in many church callings, including Relief Society counselor, Young Women counselor, Primary president, and her favorite was Primary pianist. She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and in the belief that families are eternal. We miss her dearly and are grateful for the knowledge that this separation is not forever.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years Robert; their children Emily, Evan (Caitie), Hailey, Andrew (Sammie); granddaughter Finley; siblings, Camille Bushman, Lou Ann Larsen, Marsha Tadje, Joan Siddoway, and Evan Tibbitts. And many cousins, friends, coworkers, and beloved students.
We want to thank the Drs and nurses at IHC hospital for the care they gave to our wife and mother during the last week of her life.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Broomhead Funeral Home from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM - 12600 South 2200 West Riverton, Utah 84065
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the LDS Chapel located at 9227 S Wild Clover Lane West Jordan, UT 84081, where there will be a viewing 1 hour prior to services from 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm, February 14, 2026, at Riverview Cemetery 2270 E 500 N St. Anthony, ID 83445
