Myra Murra-Brojanac Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 19, 2025.
Myra June Murra-Brojanac (81), beloved wife to Donald Brojanac, mother to Kari Clappier (Hornung) and grandmother to Allison Metz (Clappier) and Elizabeth Clappier Schmitz, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. Myra was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1944 to Theodore and Emma June Murra (Beal). She grew up in Iowa Falls, Iowa, where she graduated from Iowa Falls High School. Later in life she attended NIAC where she received her associates degree. Myra was co-owner and sales representative of the Six County Shopper in Charles City, Iowa from 1976 to 1987. During that time, she enjoyed visiting with her customers with a smile that would light up the room. One of her favorite past times was shopping and she loved seeing her customers' new merchandise. She remained loyal and forever grateful for her customers and the friendships they had formed over the years.

A few years after Myra sold her business, she moved to Wisconsin to be near her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters, all which were her pride and joy. In 2012 she married Donald Brojanac. They enjoyed their retirement together as snowbirds in Arizona. Their adventures together included scenic country road trips, dancing, traveling, shopping, and spending time together.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Emma "June" Murra, and by her husband, Donald Brojanac, nephew Ryan Perschbacher, brother-in-law Sonny Perschbacher. She is survived by her daughter, Kari (Hornung) Clappier, and son-in-law, Eric Clappier; her grandchildren, Allison (Clappier) and Maxwell Metz, and Elizabeth (Clappier) and Joshua Schmitz; and her great-grandsons, Paxton Metz and Hudson Schmitz. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Perschbacher and Tami (Tom) Hawley, along with beautiful nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. We will never forget her smile and the love she brought to our lives.

A service is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:30 am at PINELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 10700 W Capitol Dr, Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association would be preferred.
