Myra L. Payne

Celebration of Life Services for Myra L. Payne, age 74, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Roseland Park Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Roseland Park Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Dan Young will officiate the service.
A native of Harrisonburg, LA, she was a retired manager for Carter's Children Store and a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, Christian, and friend. Myra loved spending time with both her biological and church family. She loved being outdoors working in her yard with Roy nurturing plants and flowers of all varieties. She never met a stranger and will be missed by so many in and around our community. She may have left this world but she made sure everyone knew they would see her again.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Ballance and Allie Ogden Ballance; sisters, Faye Ballance and Linda Combel; brother, Jackie Ballance; brothers-in-law, Les Jones and Bud Peters.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving, devoted husband of over 53 wonderful years, Roy Payne; daughters, Dana (Jeff) Johnson, Leah (James Hann) Stebel, and Nicole (Davey) Schrock; grandchildren, Hannah (James) Vogal, Richie Dell IV, Kaiya Schrock, Zachary Schrock, and Brayden Stebel; great-grandchildren, Mila and Tessa Vogal; brother, Rosco "Bo" (Frances) Ballance; sisters, Josephine (Steve) Howard, Joyce Peters, Royce Ballance, Sylvia (Bob) Heuneni, and Pat Ballance; brother-in-law, Arthur Combel; numerous nieces and nephews.
