Myra Winterfeldt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weil Kahn Funeral Home on Dec. 4, 2025.
Myra Dee Kaminsky Winterfeldt, 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. Born on September 21, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Myra was the beloved daughter of the late Sally (Plost) and Samuel Kaminsky and beloved niece of Ruth and Michael Grunwald. She was the devoted wife of Edwin E. Winterfeldt, whom she married on September 2, 1968. Myra was a loving mother to her sons, David Winterfeldt, Brian Jay Winterfeldt, and Daniel Kamin Winterfeldt MBE KC (Hon) (Jonathan Leonhart).

She is also survived by her beloved sister, Simmie Ann Kaminsky Schwartz (Steven); and her beloved nieces, Sherri Kamin Goldman (Rick), Debi Kamin Brenner (Ralph), and Robin Kamin Moore (Tim). Myra was also the sister of the late Hal Kamin (Jean).

Myra was a proud graduate of Walnut Hills High School in 1961, the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing (JHSN) in 1964, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati (UC) in 1969, followed by a Master of Education from UC in 1972. Myra's career as a nurse and educator included teaching at and running the JHSN, as well as working as an RN. JHSN held a special place in her heart, and she hosted numerous reunions for her classmates over the years.

Myra cherished her 35 years residing on Convo Court in Montgomery, Ohio, where she built lasting memories with her family. An avid reader, she also enjoyed creating family trees on Ancestry, was a lifelong member of Hadassah, and had a deep love of animals.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hadassah or a Jewish or animal-related charity of your choice.

May her memory be a blessing.
