Obituary of Myrna E. Bookbinder
Myrna E. Bookbinder, 85, of Manchester passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Myrna was born in Puerto Rico, raised in the Bronx, NY and lived in Howell most of her life before settling in Manchester in June of 2022. She worked alongside her late husband, Irwin, as the Vice President and Treasurer of their company Global Dental Supply. Skilled at understanding numbers, Myrna followed the stock and real estate markets closely. She loved dancing, baking and decorating wedding cakes. Myrna was also a member of the Howell Garden Club and enjoyed traveling internationally.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Irwin Bookbinder; mother, Francisca Alvarado; father, Jose Cruz; and two brothers, Efrain Cruz and Hector Cruz. Myrna is survived by her sons, David Bookbinder, and Eric Bookbinder and his wife, Tara Buffi-Bookbinder, all of Barnegat; and grandchildren, Bianca R. Bookbinder, Vanessa E. Bookbinder; David Bookbinder, Jr., Tyler J. Leary, Carter P. Leary, and Addison M. Leary.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
