Myron Roland Gigl passed away August 23, 2022, in Fort Worth, TX. Also known as 'Mike' by most of his friends and family, he was 93 and born on December 3, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI. He is survived by his 2 sons, Robert Keith Gill and Richard William Gigl, his daughter, Alison Gigl George, daughter's-in-law, Melissa Gigl and Lora Gigl, grandchildren: Geoffrey Gill, Tyler Gill, Erin Gigl, David Gigl, Mallory Lewis, Christopher Gigl and Lily George and great-grandchildren: Jace Gill and Sophie Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Cooper Gigl, son, John James Gigl, and his later-in-life partner, Ruth Ramel.
Born to 2nd generation German immigrant parents, Joseph and Romilda Gigl, Mike was the younger brother to James. Mike served in the US Navy, was employed by Schlitz Brewing Co., and finally IBM in Oakbrook, Il. He graduated from Northwestern University's business school in Evanston Il. In 1970.
Mike was married to Patricia 'Patt' just shy of 50 years; he was also a proud father and grandfather. St. Charles, Illinois became his home of 60+ years, and he adored his friends, colleagues and community of the Chicagoland area. He spent his final years in Ft. Worth TX, close to his eldest son, Robert and his family. He was cremated and will be buried alongside Patricia in Prairie Cemetery, St.Charles, Il.
A Memorial service will be held May 20, 2023, 2:30-5:00pm,
