Sis. M. Darlene Albury passed away surrounded by family on June 12, 2025 at the age of 67. She was born February 12, 1958, in Northampton County, Virginia, to Marian and Joseph Collins. She grew up with seven siblings. Sis. Darlene lived most of her life in Seaford, DE. She was a strong Christian who fought the good fight of faith and has returned home to be with the Lord.
Darlene attended Seaford School District and graduated from Seaford High. During her professional journey, she worked at the State of Delaware Court House 4 for over 25 years.
Sis. M. Darlene Albury was a lifetime devoted member of Mt. Calvary AME Church in Seaford, DE. Her church involvement spans from being an usher, a Missionary, and teaching adult Sunday School. She was faithful to daily prayer, communion, reading her bible, and enjoyed every type of Christian music. She was frequently heard saying, ''MAY THE WORK I'VE DONE SPEAK FOR ME!" She reached out to the homeless/youth population and always giving to others. She instilled in her grandchildren the compassion to help others. She told them to always pray or as Luna says, "pray for God"!
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Joseph Collins; sister, Patricia A. Collins; and brother, Joseph Ernie Collins.
Left to cherish in honor memory are her two children, Damond A. Collins (Valerie) and Adrian M. Collins; Four Grandchildren, Jayceon Collins, Jayden Beach, Dairieon Collins, and Luna Collins; Siblings, Deborah C. Abdur-Rahman (Cookie), Michael Collins (Patricia Collins), Steven Collins, Angela Simms (Manuel Simms), and Keith Collins; step mother, Mae Collins; and host of nieces, nephews, and a huge church family.
