Myrtle McEwen Obituary
She was born in Tribune, Kansas, to Clinton and Ethel Millslage.
Lois met Melvin in Centralia, and they were married on September 16, 1946, in Toledo, Washington.
Lois worked in the food industry. She was an amazing cook and, at one time, owned her own restaurant. She also served as the bookkeeper for the Assembly of God Church in Toledo for over 20 years. Lois and Melvin later moved to Yakima, where they helped their son with his business.
Lois is survived by her sons, Donald McEwen (Roberta) of Yakima and Rusty McEwen of Yakima; nine grandchildren: Dan Jr., Verna Jean, Melissa, Molly, Jennifer, Jared, Christen, Misty, and Kristopher; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her son, Daniel; one great-grandchild, Jackson; and six siblings: Wayne, Pete, Clyde, Edna, Ilene, and Thelma.
A celebration of life for Lois will be held on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Heights Church in Yakima, Washington.

A reception will follow at the same location. Food will be provided.
