Aunt Myrtle always greeted us cheerfully and with open arms when we visited from Vt or NY. My favorite food she introduced me to was grits! Good southern grits!
Aunt Myrtle dressed impeccably and was such a beautiful person.
We had great adventures with trips to the hunting camp and the Plantation, she made sure there were snacks and our comfort was her top priority.
A few months ago I had a lovely conversation with her and she sounded as sweet as ever. Regardless of distance, I feel as though we connected on a level deeper than family. I love you Aunt Myrtle.
I also, wish to extend my sincerest condolences to my cousins- Al, Dick, Don, Jerry and Dennis.
With love, Judy (Harper) Salviolo

I remember the days when Don, Dick and I were working at FSDB. She would come by for a short visit. Our conversation would always be about Family and Jesus. All of her sons and families are wonderful examples of what made Saint Augustine a great community. I know she will proudly wear her CROWNS OF GLORY and WALK THE STREETS OF GOLD. It is my Prayer that people CELEBRATE the life that Miss Myrtle shared with everyone she came in contact with. AJ Willis

We bought both of our Harley´s from Ms. Myrtle. Over the years we forged a special friendship with this special lady and her family. We have lots of memories of great times during that chapter of our life and Ms. Myrtle was a big part of them. RIP dear lady. Kim & Joe DaCosta

I remember visiting Aunt Myrtle and Uncle James only once or twice as a youngster, but I vividly recall their hospitality. I enjoyed seeing the Harley shop, their feeding us a delicious meal of grilled steak and ranch-style bread, meeting many of our Florida cousins for the first time. They took us to the St. James River and a plantation or what may have been the farm. I'm not sure which, but I distinctly remember beautiful countryside with huge old live oaks covered with lots of Spanish moss, so very different from anything I had seen living in the North.

Through the years, my Mom (James' sister) & Dad would visit and share special stories of their time with Myrtle & James and the family. Dennis has kept in touch and we share a love of the Lord and our families that was modeled by our parents.

Our condolences and prayer for the family, with love, Cousin Susan (& Bill) Church
